The day keeps getting better for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback. He just lost a major sponsorship with a beef jerky company after it was decided that they wanted to move in another direction as a result of Ben’s recent legal troubles that have left a bad taste in the mouths of many (no pun intended).
PLB Sports, the company behind Big Ben’s Beef Jerky, announced today that they have officially cut ties with Roethlisberger which means production has been halted and all remaining product is to be “destroyed.”
PLB Sports is most recognized as the people who also brought you Doug Flutie’s “Flutie Flakes” cereal.
TMZ reports:
According to Todd Ballou — president of PLB — the company decided Ben was no Flutie … and enforced the “morality clause” in Ben’s contract.
Ballou also added, “I hope he can learn from this.”
Its ok, Ben; Lifestyles or Magnum are always looking for new candidates.
