From the beginning I told you that the rumor about LeBron’s mom Gloria James and Delonte West having a relationship was most likely just an attempt by a sports gossip website to gain notoriety (you can read what I wrote here).
Unfortunately, it is working and the rumor has spread like wildfire even though the source is someone’s uncle. I repeat — the source of their information is their uncle.
I have spoken with several people close to the situation as well as professionals who have investigated the claim; they told me there is absolutely no truth to it.
Gloria James’ attorney has sent a cease and desist letter to the website that started the rumor. You can read the document above (provided by TMZ.com).
Even the fact that we are still speaking about this shows there is a much bigger problem in our society; that we have put common sense in the background, because we are more interested in gossip and drama.
We are quick to accuse, condemn, and convict people in the court of public opinion without taking a step back to wonder how we would feel if someone were making those accusations against us.
Just imagine if you were a mother and your son was going through a tough time for whatever reason and people started to whisper you were sleeping with one of his friends. How would that make you feel?
Maybe you should think about that before you go running to Twitter to help spread the message of BS.
