According ESPN.com, a source close to the situation has stated that Chris Bosh will join Dwyane Wade in Miami. The two plan to announce their decision sometime today. This comes on the heels of LeBron James announcing that his decision will come Thursday on ESPN. The separate press announcements coupled with the Wade/Bosh combination in Miami lends to the theory that James will be going nowhere and stay in Cleveland. (insert overjoyed Cavs fans here)
Both are expected to receive max contracts, although details of whether Bosh would get a contract outright or via sign-and-trade were not known. Bosh could earn $125 million over six years via sign-and-trade, but only $96 million over five without it. Contracts cannot be officially signed until July 8. The Wade/Bosh combination will make the Miami Heat instant contenders in the Eastern Conference again. Sweet irony would be for the Heat and Cavs to meet in the playoffs. Perfect karma would be for the Cavs to lose yet again.
It starting to look like that free agency madness will be over by Friday, and the world can return to spinning on its axis.
