I don’t know if it’s because its the beginning of football season, but baby momma drama is swirling in the air. Floyd going crazy on his baby momma, Dwight Howard wants $500 million from Royce, and now you can add Matt Forte to the list of athletes with baby momma drama. SunTimes.com reports that Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte was recently dumped by his fiancee for getting his ex-girlfriend pregnant.
Matt Forte, 24, who scored two touchdowns against the Detroit Lions in a 19-14 victory Sunday and was named the NFC offensive player of the week, is not winning in his personal life. I happily announced in May that Forte had gotten engaged to Chicago’s Danielle Daniels at the Trump International Hotel in New York while they were there attending a promotional event. Forte gave her a big diamond and the couple later flew to his home state of Louisiana to celebrate with his parents. Well, surprise, surprise! On Tuesday, Forte broke the news to his faithful and beautiful fiancee that his ex-girlfriend, who lives in Louisiana, is pregnant with his child and will deliver in November.
So good ole Matt went to dinner Saturday night with Danielle and her parents, and they even attended the game Sunday…yet no word on the knocked up ex. Matt waits until Tuesday to share the news about the bundle of joy that was on the way. I guess Tuesday is national ‘Drop a bombshell’ day….*JaMarcus shrug*
So here’s the timeline:
- Matt gets ex-girlfriend pregnant in February
- Matt and Danielle, who have been dating for a couple of years get engaged in May 2010
- Danielle parent’s host and engagement party in July
- Matt tells Danielle of pregnancy in September
- Baby is due in November
I do feel quite sorry for Danielle. I can only imagine the hurt she felt of not only finding out he cheated, but got her pregnant, and waited until she was SEVEN months to tell her. Danielle seems like quite the catch, a pretty woman that has a lot going for herself. She works for the Daniels Entertainment Group public relations firm and is a full-time student at Columbia College. That’s right, Matt let a beautiful and educated woman get away.
It seems things are coming together for Matt on the field, but he’s got to work on the personal life as well.
