Video: Scottie Pippen: “I Wouldn’t Trade Joakim Noah, For Carmelo Anthony Based Off His Reputation”

Bulls great Scottie Pippen was on ESPN radio in Chicago, talking about the Bulls future and Joakim Noah.

When speaking about would he include Noah in a trade for Carmelo Anthony, he said he wouldn’t, when pressed on why, he says based off Carmelo’s reputation he doesn’t think it would be wise move.

The reputation that he is speaking about, is the one that has floated around the league for years that Melo is a great player, but not a “championship” player.

Is that reputation warranted? Hard to say, but I don’t think he is helping it with the way he is strong arming his way out of Denver. The one thing I try to stress this off season,  is that while you might not like the way Lebron, D Wade and Chris Bosh all teamed up, you have to remember they were:

FREE AGENTS

Meaning they were free to go wherever they wanted, Melo is under contract and forcing his way out. A lot of people see that as he is someone when he doesn’t get his way will jump ship.

The reason the Bulls aren’t currently in the Melo trade talks is their refusal to trade Noah, that says a lot of about Noah, but maybe says even more about Carmelo.
