The one thing that Miami Heat can’t control are injuries.
There is a reason 99 out of 100 General Managers if you asked them on the spot today who would they want long term to start a franchise with D Wade or Lebron are choosing The King of South Beach.
Cutting through all the white noise Lebron James is not a good player, not a great player, but a once in a generation player.
Wade skill set is as good as anyone in the league, but he has been hurt a lot in his career, whereas Lebron has never missed a substantial amount of time.
It is highly unlikely the Heat can win a championship though without a healthy D Wade and I haven’t even mentioned Chris Bosh who also has a history of being nicked up as well.
The one thing Heat fans should be encouraged by is that it doesn’t appear any of the off court stuff has effected Lebron’s game at all. I am not surprised real or not, in his mind he feels like he has been hated on, so I am expecting big year from him.
Hopefully Wade’s injury is not severe, but something to watch.
