At least he is looking at the glass half full when talking about Cowboys season, but Roy probably should concentrate on winning the next game before thinking about the Super Bowl.
He is optimistic I will give him that, I wonder if he knows this is his last season as a Cowboy?
Here is what he had to say:
“We can go nine in a row, if you ask me,” Williams said Thursday. “People can call me stupid or whatever, but this football team has the core of players, it has the supporting cast of players to win nine in row. We just got to get it started just for other players to be like, ‘All right, we got it now.'”
“It would be a great storybook ending,” Williams said. “It would be awesome. I don’t know if they’d put us in the Hall of Fame for that if this [team] was going to go on and win the Super Bowl, but it’s a tough feat to cross. But if there is any team in the league that can do it, it’s the Dallas Cowboys.”
I am not going to call him stupid, because that is what he should be thinking. Hopefully his teammates feel the same way. Once again though before thinking about how the Hall of Fame would handle the “storybook ending” how about just playing one complete 60 minute game.
Baby steps Roy.
