There was no way the NFL was going to suspend Brett Favre in the middle of the season and at this point with just one game to go there was no point of suspending him now.
With the window for Sterger’s lawyer to file a lawsuit now gone. The NFL will give Favre a slap on the wrist and hope he takes his talents back to Mississippi.
The NFL will fine Brett Favre but not suspend him for sexually harassing Jenn Sterger when both worked for the Jets, according to multiple reports out this morning.
Both Jay Glazer of FOX and Adam Schefter of ESPN have reported that the discipline is coming. Schefter reported that it will come in the next 48 hours and will not include a suspension, while Glazer reported that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to fine Favre today or tomorrow but not suspend him.
I would not be shocked if Roger Goodell had a “wink wink” deal with Favre that if he promised to retire for real this time there wouldn’t be any punishment.
As far as Sterger is concerned if I am her lawyers I let her now speak freely to the media (for a price) and try to recoup some of the money she has lost.
Her best chance now to make some cash in is get on a reality show now. That is the normal progression of these thing.
