Gilbert Arenas on Rashard Lewis: “He Thinks The World Ended Being in DC”

Poor Rashard Lewis doesn’t seem to be enjoying his time with the Wizards.

As long as he is cashing those checks, he needs to turn that frown upset down.  ESPN did a Q & A with Gilbert Arenas and one of the questions was about the players he was traded for.

Here is what the former Agent 0 had to say:

Q: You say you’re past it all now. Everyone has moved on. Caron Butler, DeShawn Stevenson and Brendan Haywood ended up in Dallas. Antawn Jamison is in Cleveland. You’re now in Orlando. Do you guys still keep in touch?

A: I still catch up with some of those guys after every game. Especially [Wizards guard] Nick Young. Because I loved his talents from when he was little. I talk to him after games. He makes jokes about stuff. He was telling me about Rashard Lewis (traded to Washington in deal for Arenas). Nick was like, ‘I don’t know if he’s going to make it two weeks here. He feels like the world just ended.’ And I’m like, ‘Man, I feel like the world just started for me over here. I can see why he’s mad.’

Before I get to Lewis, Arenas shouldn’t have made that public because if anything that is going to cause friction between Young and Lewis. Gilbert doesn’t think before he speaks, he needs to work on that.

Rashard Lewis salary for this year.

19 Million Dollars.

His production?

12 points and 4 rebounds a game.

Lewis has made almost 100 million dollars in his NBA career, he needs to man up and play better I don’t care if he was in Turkey with Allen Iverson.

No need to pout even though that has been his M.O. throughout his career.
