Reports are that Terrelle Pryor and four other members of the Ohio State Buckeyes will be suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season.
Pryor and the other players though will be allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl.
Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor and four other Buckeyes must sit out the first five games of the 2011 season for accepting improper benefits. All can still play in the Sugar Bowl against Arkansas.
The NCAA suspensions were announced Thursday, shortly before Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith and coach Jim Tressel were to meet with reporters to discuss the university’s investigation of players trading autographs for tattoos.
Once again, the NCAA has proven to be hypocrites. A free tattoo is worth a five game suspension, but someone’s parent trying to prostitute their kid to the highest bidder gets off with no penalties. Yeah that is fair.
