Can you imagine the things Mark Cuban would say if the Mavericks ever won a NBA title? You never would be able to shut him up. That is the only thing missing from most of his “ether” style comments throughout the years.
This time he goes after Phil Jackson after Jackson commented that the season ending injury to Caron Butler would hurt the Mavericks. It was a pretty mundane and true comment, but in typical Cuban fashion he went straight for the KO when responding.
“I love that Jeanie Buss’ boy-toy had something to say about us,” Cuban said while working out in the Mavs’ workout room Tuesday. “I don’t know if it was his thought or Jeanie’s thought, but it’s nice to know that she lets him speak in public about other teams.”
I have a pet peeve when people try to deliver shots, but don’t use proper wrong context.
Boy Toys are for older women getting with younger men. When Carmen Diaz was dating Justin Timberlake he could have been referred to as a boy toy or the fake Braylon Edwards that Shaunie O’Neal (Shaq’s ex-wife) is dating is definitely a boy toy.
Jackson who is older than Buss, would be more of a Sugar or Pimp Daddy similar to Hugh Hefner.
Phil even knew Cuban used it in wrong context here is what he had to say:
I love it. I consider myself an old man. That I’m a “Boy Toy,” that’s terrific … Mark gets riled up when I make comments about his team, but they were leading the league. It’s a big blow to a team that’s playing that well.
If Cuban has time, he can come holler at me and I can explain to him the differences— so next time he can be more effective with his jab.
