D Wade has been dealing with some migraines and had some custom made goggles made to shield him from bright light (or the Lebron’s spotlight that Maverick Carter carries over him).
The NBA had to approve the Cyclops Goggles and shut them down like Magneto in a steel factory.
After a hands-on review at league headquarters in Manhattan Thursday afternoon, the league has rejected the shaded goggles Wade planned to wear against the Knicks. Officials determined there was too much tinting and it would have given him a competitive advantage because opponents would not be able to see his eyes.
Wade, who has been suffering some light sensitivity after a bout with a migraine last weekend, practiced with the glasses over the last several days and was going to use them out of precaution at Madison Square Garden.
Wade expected to play and might experiment with league-approved glasses with less shading.
The NBA takes seriously “looking a man in the eye” credo many people have.
The NBA are treating Wade like he is Titans running back Chris Johnson rolling on 29s with tinted windows bumping “No Hands” in Beverly Hills.
Hope they never ban head bands for Lebron’s Hairline sakes.
