Kurt Angle is in the lower end of my top 10 wrestlers of all time. During the WWE attitude era which to me lasted right up to the time that The Rock decided to make movies, Kurt Angle was possibly the best technical wrestler in the WWE. I still remember his Wrestlemania match with Shane McMahon as one of the craziest ever.
Like a lot of wrestlers he has battled a few demons over the years.
He was allegedly found drunk in his car by the cops. TMZ has the story:
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … highway patrol in Grand Forks found Angle sitting in his car in the median separating lanes. We’re told Angle told cops he had hit an icy patch in the road. During the conversation, cops say they smelled alcohol on Angle’s breath. He failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
Since cops didn’t see Angle driving, he was arrested and later charged with being in control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated — which basically means he was allegedly drunk behind the wheel but not actually driving.
He looks happy, so wherever he was at, he probably had a good time.
Hopefully not a serious issue and at least he had the common sense to pull over if he felt he didn’t have control of his vehicle.
