Jim McMahon had a wide ranging interview speaking on concussions, Jay Cutler, the NFL Lockout and brain injuries. You can read the entire thing at Profootballtalk.com.
What I found interesting were his comments about his time at BYU. McMahon who was not a Mormon, but played college ball at BYU had this to say about the famed BYU Honor Code.
McMahon had an interesting answer when asked about BYU basketball player Brandon Davies, who was suspended from the team this season, reportedly for violating the school’s honor code by having premarital sex. McMahon said he had a simple method for maintaining his football eligibility when he played at BYU: “You had to find girls who kept their mouths shut.”
The thing I like about McMahon is that he says what we all know.
Even though people will try to make you believe everyone at BYU is just kissing and watching PG-13 movies, don’t be fooled the Honor code is being broken right now.
Davies knew the rules, but maybe next he won’t share that information with someone in his inner circle who is obviously a snitch.
