Dez Bryant is proving that he’s got this being a Dallas Cowboy thing down. Bryant skipped a voluntary workout with teammates proving his teammates aren’t above Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Although Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and approximately 40 of his teammates were in attendance, it must be said again that the workout was voluntary. The skipped workout only serves as the latest Dez Bryant headline this off-season. In spite of the lockout, Bryant’s managed to keep his name trending by being banned from a mall, sued by jewelers, and skipping a prearranged meeting with Cowboy owner Jerry Jones on this past Friday.
Dez Bryant is going to have to get it together. Being a professional football player comes with scrutiny, being a Dallas Cowboy comes with an intensified scrutiny. His actions of late are reminiscent of Michael Irvin in the 90’s. He would be better served emulating the actions of this decade’s Michael Irvin.
