Shaquille O’Neal, Stephen Jackson, Kendrick Perkins and other current and former NBA players will be suiting up this weekend to play in the 17th Annual Tournament of The Stars Basketball Classic in Lake Charles, LA, Aug. 12-14.
Tournament of Stars, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization, puts on sporting events to raise funds for scholarships for deserving high school students. The main event is the annual Tournament of the Stars Classic.
Tournament of the Stars Adult basketball Tournament has been held every year since 1995.
This year’s event includes the Pro-Am tournament, a gala and silent auction, a celebrity golf classic, and a youth basketball tournament.
Other current and former players who will be in attendance includes Penny Hardaway, Cuttino Mobely, T.J Ford, Sam Cassell, Nick Van Exel, and Monta Ellis.
