If I see knives, I am running.
I have too much to lose. I need to see the Lil Princess make it to college, I run a multi-nickel media organization and I want to see the Rock and John Cena at Wrestlemania.
I can’t take any risks trying to break up a knife fight and accidentally taking one in the gut. I commend Ravens’ rookie Tandon Doss bravery, but either he is really stupid or is exaggerating what happened.
Doss grabbed the attention of his Twitter followers yesterday when he posted this message:
Jus had to break up a fight at five guys. Baltimore is too ratchet!!!
While breaking up any fight qualifies one as a good Samaritan, based on the Baltimore Sun’s writeup after the game, this wasn’t just any fight Doss helped end:
Baltimore police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the dispute broke out in the restaurant in the Pratt Street Pavilion about 4:30 p.m. He said two men, one police believe to have been angry about getting fired, cut the 34-year-old manager with a knife.
Guglielmi said the two men, both former employees, ran from the restaurant but left the knife behind. The manager suffered a minor cut on his chin and was treated and released from an area hospital, the spokesman said.
I get the feeling that Doss didn’t do anything more than say……..
“Hey man put that knife down.”
But I am going to let him have his 15 minutes of fame. By the time the story is done he will be Jason Bourne.
By the way Five Guys is delicious and I might get that for lunch today.
