Today has been a day filled with somber tributes to the people who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of 9/11 ten years ago. There has been countless stories of heroes from that day and how they impacted the lives of the people around them. It has been a day of remembrance (as it should be), but State Farm took a different approach to their 9/11 tribute.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, State Farm partnered with award-winning director Spike Lee to film a touching tribute to thank the heroes of New York. Nearly 150 school children (ages 8-11) from the New York City area visited four firehouses and thanked the firefighters through song.

You figured that if it was New York, it had to involve Spike Lee.
Seeing a group of kids that don’t know what life was like before our country changed singing to members of the FDNY is truly impacting. I love that it provides a message of hope among all the sadness.
