Albert Breer of the NFL Network is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles have deactivated wide receiver DeSean Jackson for today’s game against former teammate Kevin Kolb’s Arizona Cardinals. According to sources, Jackson blew off a team meeting on Saturday morning and left the team with no choice but to sit him for the game.
Of course, that begs the question, would he have been benched if this was a match up against the Cowboys or a team ahead of them in the playoff race? Probably not, but such is the sliding scale of justice in major sports.
The people who are angriest about this news are the fantasy team owners who now have to scramble to find a replacement for D-Jax. Thankfully for me, I am 2-7 so its not like he would have helped me much anyway.
