Ndamukong Suh is expected to get a multiple-game suspension for stomping Green Bay offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith’s during the Thanksgiving game last Thursday, which he rightly deserves. But Suh might be trying to lessen that suspension by reaching out to commissioner Roger Goodell to apologize for his stupid actions.
ProFootballTalk.com has the detail
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Suh called NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Sunday to apologize for his actions during the Thanksgiving game. One of the many factors believed to be weighing on the league as they decide Suh’s fate was his lack of remorse in the hours after the game, which makes reaching out to Goodell a pretty good move on the public relations front.
Suh is a dirty player, bottom line. His supporters try to say he isn’t dirty but aggressive. Its one thing to be aggressive, but purposely stomping on a guy and banging his head on hard turf three times after being legally block is dirty and unacceptable in the NFL.
Suh has anger issues and hopefully this latest incident helped him realize that he has a problem (although his post game interview made him seem delusion to the fact).
Goodell will probably bring down the hammer on Suh and I doubt an apology will soften the blow.
