#ThatAwkwardMoment when you show up to your DUI hearing drunk.
If Charlie Bell has a twitter account he should have tweeted that because that’s exactly what he did.
Thebiglead.com has the details:
Former Michigan State Spartan and Flint native Charlie Bell spent hours in custody Thursday after showing up to court legally drunk for a hearing on his drunken driving case.
Bell, now 32 and with the Golden State Warriors, was arrested in Flint Township Oct. 21 for drunken driving, driving on a suspended license and failing to stop at a stop sign. That case was set to be resolved Thursday morning, in Genesee County’s 67th District Court, until Bell blew a reported .09 during a pre-scheduled alcohol assessment. The legal limit is .08.
What was Charlie Bell thinking? Showing up to court for a DUI hearing drunk got to be on the top ten of “things you should not do” list. You would think Charlie would know better.
C’MON MAN!!
This hasn’t been a good year for Bell. If you don’t remember, Bell was “allegedly” stabbed by his wife Kenya Bell, a former Miss Michigan, with a box cutter. Good thing the NBA is back in business today. Charlie needs something to get him away from his issues.
