It was just a matter of time, especially considering Lin plays in New York it is always going to be a rollercoaster ride. They will build you up like Rocky, but then come in like Drago to break you.
If you kept a reasonable head during Linsanity, you wouldn’t be surprised or even concerned about what happened to Lin on Thursday night against the Heat.
He is young guy who is going to struggle at times against more experienced players and better teams.
This wasn’t Raptors, this was the South Beach NWO. Lebron James and D Wade, have been megastars for years, not just two weeks.
What I do find interesting is the Knicks aren’t just Jeremy Lin and a bunch of scrubs, they have big time stars themselves in Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire who didn’t play well either, but for now all the praise or blame will fall on Jeremy Lin’s shoulders.
I don’t feel sorry him, because he is reaping the benefits of being overhyped, but I prefer to look at things in a rational way.
Jeremy Lin was the piece that the Knicks needed to be competitive (as you can see Baron Davis wouldn’t have been the answer), but the whole team needs to come together to make it work long term.
No one should be jumping off the bandwagon after some bad games, if you are going to ride for Lin, ride for him all the way to the ………..
I was going to make a joke there, but people are way too sensitive about everything Lin related, so I will just play it safe.
