The Scouts never put their name behind these quotes, so we never get to question why they feel a certain way about a player.
Personal qualities about players are important in evaluations, but since there are so many people evaluating it is hard to get a consensus.
Robert Griffin III isn’t perfect, but this sounds to me like some scouts just wanting to go against the grain to get some publicity.
Two scouts expressed to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that they have concerns with Baylor QB Robert Griffin III’s attitude.
“He’s got a little bit of a selfish streak,” said one scout. “Everybody was laying on Cam, but for some reason this guy has become gloves-off. He doesn’t treat anybody good.” Another scout “questioned the way Griffin deals with people,”
The only personality traits that would matter to me if I was running a NFL team would be if the player is lazy, is he prone to get in trouble off the field and is he a team player.
None of those three seem to be a concern to anyone about RG3, so unless the scouts want to go on record with a little more details take it with a grain salt.
Remember there were concerns about Cameron Newton’s “Fake Smile” last year.
