Based on the information we currently have, it would have appeared that Pilar Sanders was the one who started the altercation that put her in jail and Deion cited for assault.
Pilar has always stated that she feels Deion gets preferential treatment from the police, media and fans because he is Deion Sanders.
She now has a witness to back up some of those claims.
Lisa Thomas is an accomplished concert pianist. She’s played for President Bush and other dignitaries.
“I heard glass breaking, and Deion was shouting at the top of his lungs, over and over again, ‘Get out of my house, get out of my house!'” Thomas said.
Thomas said she made her way out of the house, and as she was leaving the police arrived.
She describes them as being aggressive with Pilar.
“That’s what I found strange,” Thomas said. “They hadn’t even interviewed them, and they were pushing her out like she was some criminal, and they said, ‘You stay outside,’ and just said, ‘Do not come back in this house.'”
She said Deion Sanders was treated nicely.
Thomas said she was stunned to learn Pilar Sanders was arrested.
“I was flabbergasted,” she said. “This can not be right. It’s not right. It’s so wrong. Now way she deserved to go to jail.”
She said Prosper police officers didn’t take her statement. In fact, she says she called them the next day to give her account.
It does seem strange that the police wouldn’t get a statement from someone who was at the home at the time of the incident.
Could Pilar be correct and the police are playing favorites or are the police giving her a fair shake?
Only time will tell as we get more information about the inner workings of the investigation.
