These are just opinions and I get what Amani is trying to say, but there is a pretty simple reason why most people will disagree with him.
“Tony Romo is probably, if you look at it statistically, he’s probably the best quarterback in the NFC East,” Toomer said. “You look at Eli Manning and what he does in the fourth quarter, but you talk about consistency, talking about 31 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions, that guy can play.”
He is correct statistically maybe Romo had a nicer stats, but what do stats mean if you only have one playoff win during your starting quarterback tenure?
What Eli has shown is when it matters the most and the pressure is at the highest he plays the best and that is what separates him from other quarterbacks with similar stats.
The Cowboys and Giants talent wise have similar squads (you could argue that the Cowboys are more talented), but in those critical moments is when Eli has shined and Romo has shrunk.
Eli doesn’t care about stats or how he ranks on the Top 100 list, he cares about shining those rings.
