ESPN’s Joe Schad is reporting that Penn State star running back Silas Redd is strongly considering transferring to Southern Cal.
Redd left California this morning after spending an enormous amount of time with quarterback Matt Barkley and wide receiver Robert Woods over the weekend.
The running back will now meet with his family upon returning home Monday night and then meet with Penn State coach Bill O’Brien in the next day or so.
Redd has 2 years of eligibility remaining and would shore up the final remaining hole in an explosive USC offense.
He ran for 1,241 yards and seven touchdowns last season in a rugged Big Ten and should have no problems finding rushing lanes in a Pac 12 conference where defense is not the premium.
