Sometimes getting the leg up on everyone else is all about who you know.
It pays to be a famous athlete, and it definitely pays to be famous athletes on a team whose new co-owner dabbles in the film business.
That’s exactly the cool delimma the Pittsburgh Steelers found themselves in this evening.
ProFootballTalk.com via The Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting the Steelers are taking in a private screening of The Dark Knight Rises this evening.
5 significant Steelers including former wide receiver Hines Ward, Troy Polamalu, Mike Wallace and Ben Roethlisberger all make cameos in the film during a football scene shot at Heinz Field.
The newly retired Ward makes reference to a scary scene he is in.
“I’ve run scared before but I really ran scared that day,” Ward told Gene Collier of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “They told me, ‘Don’t look back.’ I felt the explosion when I was running. I had to wear earplugs. Usually, I’m smiling when I’m running, but that day I was actually screaming.”
This is one scene I’ve got to see.
