Is USC Quarterback Matt putting himself on a pedestal? According to NFL.com Barkley says RG3 would have been drafted after him. USC Quarterback Matt Barkley made analyst revamp their draft picks when he announced his return to USC for his senior year. With a single season Pac-12 record for touchdowns, throwing for more than 3,900 yards and a 69.1% passing rate, Barkley was sure to go top 10, if not 5. Standing on the short side for a quarterback of 6’2, Barkley says:
“I had confidence I was going to go high, it really wasn’t a question of that as to why I came back” as he stated on the Dan Patrick Show Tuesday Morning.
But is Barkley really better than Griffin? Griffin being the first Baylor Bear to win a Heisman Trophy also has lead the NCAA with the highest completion rate of 72.4 and a had the most touchdowns of 37. Behind Andrew Luck, Griffin had a prolific year.
Going back to USC, Barkley will be heavily watched as he does have a high chance to go first overall in the 2013 draft. With the high expectations he not only set for himself with the ego boost, but with analyst as well, does he have any room for faults this year? I doubt it.
Cant claim to be better and not show up and show out.
