Brandon Jacobs is a whiner.
Part of the perils of Twitter is having to deal with idiots. I had a Twitter prostitute start a rumor that my child was mentally retarded because she didn’t like a story I wrote about her stalking Kyrie Irving.
It just goes with territory.
ProfootballZone.com has Jacobs quotes.
San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs told Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com that after he went on Twitter and told all of his followers that he was fine after injuring his knee a couple of weeks ago, he received plenty of support as well as hate. He even retweeted some of the hateful messages and explained why.
“Everybody thinks this life is all easy and you got to deal with nothing,” Jacobs told Maiocco. “I like for people to see what else is out there, what else we deal with as NFL players. Let them see what it is that we go through.
“One person said, ‘I hope you die a horrible death.’ I tweeted him back saying, ‘I’m sure my wife and my kids appreciate that. Have a good day.’ It’s stuff like that, it’s uncalled for. There are some real dumb, stupid people out there.”
Someone wishes death upon me daily, calls me out of my name (won’t do it to my face though) and hope desperately that I fail. I am sure it is worse for athletes, but the hate is spawned from jealousy and envy.
Don’t cry about it, man up and keep living your life. You will be ok.
