Plaxico Burress has not experienced the same amount of success that Mike Vick has since his release from prison.
I’m not sure if that’s a result of a talent gap or how NFL front office people feel about Plax. Either way Burress is not any a camp at this moment and he is trying to figure out why.
The unemployed wide-out has put on a full court press to find a team before the regular season starts, and he may have found a franchise to take the bait.
Pro Football Talk via Paul Gutierrez of CSNBayArea.com is reporting that there may be mutual interest between Burress and the Oakland Raiders.
Raiders new head coach Dennis Allen stated “he wouldn’t rule it out.”
“We’re going to look at any options that are out there that we think can make us better. Whether or not we make any moves or not, that’s to be determined. But we’re not going to rule anything out.”
It’s not a yes or a no for Burress, but at least it has people talking about him.
Right now that’s better than nothing.
