There is a lot of noise being talked in sports lately.
It’s that feeling you get when you finally have a good team as a coach or player, or a good product as a owner.
The New York Post is reporting that Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov got into the mix yesterday on Fox 5 “Good Day New York.”
Prokhorov was asked about his new New York competition, and chose that moment to take a shot.
“Excuse me, what is that name? Ah, oh, Knicks. Yes, I’ve heard about this second team in New York.”
Prokhorov then played up the rivalry that should liven up the big apple to a new extreme.
“I think we’re getting to where we will have an epic rivalry,” Prokhorov said. “It will be great for the fans, for the basketball.
“I think really, the coming of the arena and team to Brooklyn, we can put finally put New York on the map. It’s about time.”
I think we have a rivalry here folks.
