Per the rules while it wasn’t intentional it was an illegal hit that the refs did not get correct.
Heyward-Bey was hit right in the jaw and was knocked out similar to a boxer before he even hit the ground. The good news is that it seems like just a concussion.
He will be kept overnight at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. They will be checking his neck and jaw. Thoughts and prayers go out to DHB.
