Dwyane Wade Leaves Jordan Brand for Li-Ning

Now confirming the reports from CBSSports.com, Dwyane Wade is no longer apart of the Jordan brand. Wade shared the news with Fox Sports at a Miami Heat practice, he says the decision to part was mutual.

“I just really can’t comment on my new deal,” Wade said. “I did mutually part ways with the Jordan umbrella, with Jordan and Converse. I had a great nine years, but we have mutually parted ways, and I’m moving on.”

“It’s just the time,” Wade said. “We just went our separate ways. But I still feel honored to have represented my favorite player of all time and his brand and the opportunity I was given.”

Wade said he couldnt comment on where he was going but Shane Battier might have already spilled the beans as well as Evan Turner who tweeted the news.

“Welcome Dwyane to the Chinese shoe family,” Battier said. “It’s good to have my fellow brother over there.”

“I’d like to welcome the homie D Wade to the Li-Ning family!!!” (ironically the tweet from Evan Turner has since been removed)

Li-Ning is a footwear and apparel company based out of Beijing. The terms of his contract has yet to be released.
