Some Eagles fans got what they wanted yesterday, when Michael Vick was knocked out the game with a concussion.
Eagles fans were treated to about a half of Nick Foles, but I wouldn’t give him a grade for his performance at this time.
If NFL.com via Andy Reid are correct on their assessment of Vick’s condition, those same fans may see more of Foles next week.
Reid has been quoted as saying that Vick has a ‘significant concussion,” and probably won’t be ready for next week.
“He was a little foggy last night after the incident. Today he’s resting. Right now, at this period, it’s very important that he rests,” Reid said. “He has a headache is what he’s got — a pretty good one.”
Foles will take first team reps in practice Wednesday, and most likely will start against the Redskins.
“Nick will do a nice job,” Reid said. “Excited to see him play.”
At this point Andy needs to see if Foles can play at all.
Not necessarily for himself, but for the good of the franchise, as they try to evaluate certain players going forward.
