Clemson QB Tajh Boyd To File NFL Draft Paperwork, May Turn Pro

Clemson junior quarterback Tajh Boyd has had one hell of a year, and it was topped of yesterday after being named American Football Coaches Association First Team All American, and ACC Player of the Year.

Boyd is riding a wave of momentum heading into the bowl season and may feel the need to strike while the iron is hot.

Tiger Net is reporting that Boyd will file the necessary paperwork with the NFL Draft to get a sense of where he might be drafted.

Boyd will then sit down with his family, see what his options are, and he may indeed turn pro.

“That is one of those deals where I am going to submit my paperwork and consider it,” Boyd said. “I haven’t made a decision yet, but when I get my paperwork back I will sit down with my coaches and parents and those closest to me and talk about it and make the best decision possible. But there is still no decision yet.”

Boyd indicated not set round or pick would affect his decision either way.

“I haven’t really thought about a certain round or anything of that nature,” he said.

Boyd led the Atlantic Coast Conference in passing efficiency, total offense, and total touchdowns with 43.
