Kobe Says He Might Play Until He’s 40

A few weeks ago, Kobe Bryant talked about his contract being up in two years, and possibly retiring.

Well now people are talking about Dwight Howard taking over his team, LeBron winning chips, and Kevin Durant being the future.

That my friends Kobe wants no part of according to Pro Basketball Talk.

“My aim is to play until I’m 40 years old and I believe I can do that. This year, we added very good players to our squad. Steve Nash, Dwight Howard will make us stronger. Right now, things are not going very well but I believe it’ll get better soon.”

“During the lock-out, I had offers from Turkey and other countries. Beşiktaş was interested in me and they had talks with my agent, but I want to use the lock-out time to recover from my injuries and spend more time with my family so I turned the offers down. Who knows, maybe one day I play basketball in Turkey.”

I had no doubt Kobe would continue to play after this current contract runs out.

Kobe doesn’t play for the money, he loves the game period.

I can see him being a 39-year-old, 18 points per game scorer in the league with no worries about money or a scoring title.
