NFL’s Stance On Marijuana Won’t Change Despite Colorado’s New Law

Colorado might have a new Marijuana law, and Broncos players might really want to get a mile high, but they still better be able to pass a test, because USA Today is reporting that marijuana is still a banned substance by the NFL.

“The NFL’s policy is collectively bargained and will continue to apply in the same manner it has for decades,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told USA TODAY Sports Wednesday morning. “Marijuana remains prohibited under the NFL substance abuse program.”

Colorado’s new amendment 64 will allow individuals over 21 to possess up to an ounce of the drug or have up to 6 plants at home.

I’m interested in seeing how many pro athletes truly start to consider Denver as a viable destination because.

Nevermind.
