The Lakers and Sixers meet tonight for was supposed to be the first of two epic matchups between centers on different teams and historic rivals.
Things are playing out kind of different now. The Lakers are struggling to fit into Mike D’Antoni’s system, and Andrew Bynum has yet to play a game for the 76ers while staying in the limelight every single day for things other than basketball.
Kobe Bryant has come home for his one visit against the Sixers and had some kind things to say about his former teammate.
Even though Bynum is no longer in L.A., the Black Mamba still thinks highly of him when he spoke to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“”He can do everything,” Kobe Bryant said according to Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “There really isn’t anything he can’t do.”
“The biggest thing for Andrew is just his health,” Bryant said. “If he gets healthy, they have an incredible, incredible center.”
“”He is a pretty even-keeled guy, but he has a temper which I always enjoyed because he was always kind of on edge,” Bryant said of Bynum.
“I just hope he gets healthy,” Bryant finished.
