Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman should receive word of his appeal for his 4 game suspension at anytime now. As we reported Sherman and teammate were suspend a month ago for violating the leagues banned substance rule.
Browner bit the bullet and is set to return to his team. Sherman appealed, and is now waiting to hear something. Sherman “said he can’t go back now,” and he may have to explore legal options according to Pro Football Talk.
“I can’t get back playing regardless. I can just sue the league, and that’s probably what I’m going to do if they suspend me,’” Sherman said.
“It’s been pretty standard other than the league telling you they can break rules,” Sherman said. “They don’t care if you took it or you didn’t take it, if the sample is tainted or it isn’t tainted, they said it doesn’t matter. The collective bargaining, there’s policies, there’s rules in the policies that they said should not apply to them and they wrote them. That’s just how the league does things.”
Sherman’s whole point of appeal is based on the fact that the cup carrying his urine had the seal broken, which constitutes a break in procedures.
