In light of the Jovan Belcher murder/suicide last Saturday, gun laws and enforcement have been a heated topic around the NFL this week.
The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Ravens all pro linebacker Terrell Suggs was recently forced to surrender some of his firearms as part of a domestic case involving his longtime girlfriend.
Suggs’ attorney Warren Alperstein has confirmed that his girlfriend Candace Williams filed for a court order last month. He declined to provide details of the order, and a copy of the order was not made available.
The guns were surrendered to the police because of the court order, and Suggs and Williams are currently working to resolve their issues.
The Ravens say they are aware of the situation, and Suggs has declined to comment on anything.
Candace Williams is the mother of Suggs two children, and former fiance.
