Texas A&M Loading Up On Elite WR Recruits to Help Johnny Manziel

Johnny Heisman may get an encore in 2013.  Kevin Sumlin and his Texas A&M coaching staff have been putting in a lot of work on the recruiting trail in order to equip Johnny Manziel with more weapons at wide receiver, and their efforts are starting to pay off.  Yesterday, the Aggies secured a commitment from 6’5”, 230 lbs Athlete/WR prospect Ricky Seals-Jones, who ranks as the #1 athlete on the ESPN 150 list, and is also considered to be Texas’s best overall prospect this year.

Seals-Jones joins a deep group of wide receiver prospects who have already committed to the Aggies, including Ja’Quay Williams, a former Auburn commit who ranked as the #1 receiver prospect from the state of Georgia’s 2012 class before spending this past season at prep school.

Just in case you missed it, that means A&M now has commitments from Texas’s top player in the 2013 class, and Georgia’s top WR from the 2012 class.  Those two states have pretty good track records when it comes to producing college football talent.

With potential playmakers like Seals-Jones and Ja’Quay Williams joining Johnny Manziel and explosive running back Trey Williams in College Station next year, the Aggies figure to an SEC West championship caliber team in 2013.  At the very least, they will have a heck of a video game offense on NCAA 14′.
