Brooklyn Nets Brook Lopez may finally be getting the respect he deserves. ESPN New York is reporting that Lopez will replace injured Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo on the All Star team.
David Stern made the choice to choose Lopez who is having a quality season. This is Lopez’s first All-Star selection. He is averaging 18.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks for the Nets, who are in second place in the Atlantic Division.
Kyrie Irving or Jrue Holiday will replace Rondo in the starting lineup for the East.
