The Baltimore Ravens are riding sky-high right now and should be after making it to the Super Bowl. The Ravens will soon come down to earth and like most successful franchises will have tough choices to make.
The Ravens will be $5 million over the cap when the season ends, and then you add-on the dough Joe Flacco will get after playing lights out this postseason and you can see the dilemma.
Pro Football Talk via Adam Schefter is reporting that one of those casualties could be the rock of the offense, wide receiver Anquan Boldin.
Schefter reports that the Ravens would save $5.5 million in cap space and “it very well may happen.” Reports are that Jacoby Jones could also be a casualty.
This becomes the area where GM Ozzie Newsome and his ability to judge players will come in the Ravens project draft class.
