Urban Meyer on Missing Bowl Season: “We’ve Had Two Weeks of Nothing”

Urban Meyer Ohio State NCAA Bowl Sanction

College Football Bowl season hasn’t been all fun and games for everyone.  Ohio State Buckeye coach Urban Meyer joined the Tim Brando Show (via CoachingSearch.com) to discuss how difficult it’s been for his 12-0 team to miss out on playing in a bowl this year due to NCAA sanctions:

“This is the most time off I have had ever. We’ve had two weeks of nothing, and you sit and watch all these games,” Meyer told Tim Brando on the CBSSports Network. “You can’t help but think about it, but our players and our coaches have done a good job of moving forward.”

Tough break for Meyer’s squad.  At least the Buckeyes got a little good news for the 2013 season when Georgia (Central Gwinnett HS) LB Trey Johnson committed to Ohio State during today’s Under Armour All-American game.

Nevertheless, when you sit down to enjoy Monday night’s BCS National Title Game, be sure to remember those less fortunate teams like Ohio State and the fans who root for them.  Sorry Rob.
