Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard knows plenty about dishing out pain having knocked several Patriots out of games throughout his career.
We now have to show Pollard respect though for being able to play in immense pain. The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Pollard played the majority of the season with six cracked ribs.
Pollard first hurt his ribs in the second game of the season against the Eagles. He then reaggravated the injury in a loss to the Redskins and missed the final three games of the year.
He did his best to keep the injury quiet, but spoke about after the Super Bowl.
“It’s tough dealing with pain,” Pollard told The Baltimore Sun. “For us as football players, we know we’re going to go through it. At the same time, that’s the name of the game. Six of them, yep. Hey, it’s up to us to go out there and play, and we did.”
Kudos to Pollard for still knocking dudes out while injured.
