The New England Patriots have been perennial Super Bowl favorites for close to a decade now. Every year Patriots fans can look forward to a season of Super Bowl aspirations.
Patriots fans have it easy, and because of that, they doubt their team and put negative labels on them at times. Former Patriots head coach Bill Parcells knows a little about New England, and during an interview with the Boston Globe disputed the notion that the Pats were a finesse team now.
Parcells also fired a shot at New Englanders, saying “Patriots fans are spoiled.”
“Who says that? They ran the ball good this year,” Parcells said. “I don’t know what happened in the playoffs, but here’s what I say to you guys in New England: You guys are spoiled. Really, you are. You’ve got to remember how the other half lives. You forgot. I was there for it, so I know. Just remember, you could be like some of these other franchises that you see. You got a couple of ’em in your division.’’
I agree with Bill, New England fans are supremely blessed and need to appreciate it. Imagine how Chiefs fans, or Bills fans, or Lions fans feel.
