These young kids have no sense of history and what a rivalry means. Reon Dawson is a pretty good cornerback who just signed and committed to play football at Michigan.
Dawson is now a Wolverine, and with that his hate and venom should be directed towards Columbus, and Ohio State. It’s not that way at all.
Per the Dayton Daily News, Dawson is a Ohio native and grew up a Buckeye fan. Here are Dawson’s words on the matter.
“Until I die, I’m gonna be a Buckeye fan even though I’m going (to Michigan),” Dawson told the Dayton Daily News on Wednesday. “When we play (OSU) I’m gonna still bring my ‘A’ game. But, I love Ohio State.”
Reon Dawson has bumped his head obviously. Young Mr. Dawson, Charles Woodson was from Ohio as Well, and once he put on that Maize and Blue, all the Ohio love left him.
Dawson gets the benefit of the doubt because he was originally an Illinois commit, and Ohio State showed no interest.
