Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay hinted several times last week that his team had interest in a big name wide receiver. Rumors floated that it might be Victor Cruz, but Irsay shot that down.
CBS Sports is reporting that former Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey is in town meeting with the Colts for two days starting today.
Could a deal possibly get done? Heyward-Bey isn’t Cruz but he would definitely be an upgrade over anyone opposite Reggie Wayne.
Heyward-Bey was the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft even though he never lived up to such a lofty status.
