David Ortiz was the perfect person to address Red Sox fans during the an emotional pregame tribute at Fenway Park. The organization paid their respect to all those affected by the Boston Marathon bombing.
The Red Sox held a moment of silence for those who lost their lives and honored the first responders, heroes and law enforcement officials for their bravery.
At that point Ortiz addressed the home crowd, and in only a way he could, paid an amazing tribute to his city.
“This is our f****** city,” Ortiz said loud and clear on national television. “And nobody’s going to dictate our freedom. Stay strong.”
We all know cursing on national tv isn’t normally condone, but if there was ever a time the FCC should let things be, this is the one.
