D Wade has settled in nicely, into his Memphis Bleek role, to LeBron’s Jay-Z, but his contributions are still needed for the Heat to win back to back titles.
Health can derail any team and the Heat have been a little banged up over the last couple of weeks, so it is prudent that no one comes back, until they feel they are 100% healthy. This is what Wade tried to get across in his most recent statements.
“The most important thing is to be healthy,” Wade said Sunday, addressing the media for the first time since he last played March 29. “So when I feel it, then I’ll get back on the court. Obviously, I want to play. But I have to make sure that I’m right. You have to get healthy.”
No matter how great one player is, you need help to win titles, so it is imperative for Wade to take his time and make sure his knee injury doesn’t linger into the playoffs.
